The idea behind this competition entry for the design of a vacated site in the midst of an evolving civic center was while having to reprogram the existing ground, to explore the re-definition of ground as a transformative act then through a dynamic design concept, into a symbolic architecture for Nicosia, a world capital. This was achieved by tilting up almost the entire site of the old GSP stadium creating a gently inclined and rotated landscaped plane as a gesture toward the façade of the new National Theatre.
